Photo Book System
Our new Powis Studio Photo Book system has arrived and been installed in our studio. The improvements from the system we have been using are great. We can now offer a larger range of cover colours and sizes. The books come out of the machine beautifully bound ready for your coffee table. If you have images from a recent trip, family get together or Wedding you would like bound in one of our books, come and talk to us. We have tried many on line photo book systems but there has always been some issue that stopped our clients getting exactly what they have wanted. What we do is spend time getting all the images you want in your book, the girls building up your pages, you approving them and then us printing and binding the books ready for you to enjoy for years. These books cant come apart like some books you can buy, so come and talk to us about your next Photo Book
Queenstown Gardens Wedding
This week we have a "Lets Elope" wedding in the Queenstown Gardens. Jo and Will are coming from North Island for their big day.
Portrait Shoot
Lyndsy and John came out to Wanaka from Canada to have their Honeymoon. They were married back home but decided they wanted some shots taken using some of the beautiful scenery we all love. The shoot was done over two days because day one was wet and misty, but day two was a stunner. We had a great time with two really neat people. Thanks Lyndsy and John, See you out here again soon for those "family" photos and John don't work too hard!
Cromwell Wedding
Big wedding day on Friday. Three of us traveled to Cromwell to take shots for Mellisa and Steve's wedding. It was the golf in the morning for the guys and lots of fun with the girls as they got ready for the big day. The ceremony was held at Steve's parents house in Cromwell and then after all the family photos it was off to "Old Cromwell Town" , Jacksons Orchard and Lake Dunstan. We always manage to have such great fun people for our wedding shoots and this was no exception. " Thanks Mellisa and Steve, it was great being part of your special day."
Mt Cook Wedding
Weather wise it simply doesn't get any better than it was for Rebecca and Gordon for their Mt Cook wedding. Ceremony was held in the mountains and after a great flight with Mt Cook Ski Planes the ceremony was held at the top of the Tasman Glacier. The celebrant as usual was Dennis Callesen. The weather was fantastic. No wind , no cloud, just views forever. It was another wonderful ceremony. Thanks to Mark from Mt Cook Ski Planes for the flight. It was one I'll remember for a while. The views are something you never get sick of looking at. Thanks Rebecca and Gordon for letting us be part of your day. Look forward to seeing you in Wanaka.
Wedding Season is here
Over the next three months the team will be busy with lots of weddings. Venues from Christchurch, Tekapo, Mt cook, Queenstown, TeAnau, Dunedin and at home in Wanaka.Tomorrow it all starts with a wedding at the Hermitage at Mt Cook. We have been official wedding photographers at the Hermitage for about 9 months and have travelled up that road so many times. Its a wonderful place to have a wedding. Most of the couples choose the Helicopter option and have their wedding at the top of one of the ranges. Tomorrow its the Liebig Dome which has fantastic views of just about everywhere including our highest mountain, Mt Cook. It is. like most of them, a small wedding with just 6 of us on the mountain. We will get some images up in the next few days. Here's an idea of what its like at the top of the mountains...
Photo Books
We are now doing so many photo books that we have just ordered from USA a new Powis Studio Photobook binding system. Some of our clients have been requesting glossy and semi gloss pages for their books but we have never been able to offer them because of the issues you have trying to bind Glossy paper. Now with the new Powis system we can offer a large range of papers, including full gloss, covers and colours plus some optional extras like image and binding strips and lots of different sizes. We are told that the system arrive toward the end of January.
Family Portraits
We have had a busy old time with family portraits over the past three weeks. Just before Christmas we went over to Queenstown to take photos of the Prokops Family. The Queenstown Gardens was the venue chosen by the family. Here are some images from that shoot.

Queenstown Pre-wedding Shoot
At the beginning of the month we had an afternoon with Oey Fransisca & Himawan Senjaya. They came to Queenstown to have pre wedding photos done. We went to several locations and had a real fun afternoon with them. Apart from the images we took, we also put together a photo book and one of our Motion Shows which they will play at their real wedding . Himawan, we cant wait to come to Bali to take your wedding photos.
